We are glad to join you in prayer and offer some biblical guidance during this challenging time. First, let's address the situation from a biblical perspective.
It's important to acknowledge the sanctity of family and marriage. Having a baby is a wonderful blessing from God, and it is clear that God's design for a family is for a child to be raised by a mother and a father within the bounds of marriage, as Jesus confirmed from Genesis 1:27; 5:2. God said, 'Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.'
Regarding the other woman's lies and the man changing his mind, we should remember that God is truth. Lies and deceit are not from God but from the enemy, the father of all lies. We should have no part in the works of darkness but be exposing them. The Apostle Paul's teaching in Ephesians 5:11 applies here. By relying on God's wisdom and guidance, we can discern what is best for our lives and the lives of our children.
Since there is a child involved, it would be best if you and the man would seek to know God's will for your relationship and pursue a godly marriage if that is God's will. If you are not already married, it is important to pursue a committed, lifelong marriage as God intends and repentant for any sexual relations outside of marriage. God holds us all accountable for our actions.
If the other woman's lies have caused a rift, then you need to seek God's guidance on how to proceed. It may be necessary to confront the lies with God's truth and seek reconciliation if possible as described in Matthew 18:15. If the man has been deceived, pray that God will open his eyes to the truth and guide him back to the path of righteousness.
Since your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name), we would like to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is Jesus who provides the way for us to go to our Heavenly Father, God. So let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her child. We pray for God's perfect will to be done in their lives and for the man involved. Lord, we ask that You expose any lies and deception of the enemy and guide them all according to Your truth. If it is Your will for this man and woman to be together, then we pray for a godly marriage that honors You.
We also pray for this child, that they would be raised in the knowledge and admonition of the Lord, coming to know Jesus as their personal Savior. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom for this new mother as she navigates this challenging time. If she has sinned sexually, let her come to repentance and let her be restored by the blood of Jesus. Father, be with them, strengthen them in their faith, as we know You love them.
Finally, we pray for the salvation of all involved, that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they do not already. We pray that they would confess their sins, repent, and turn to Jesus, knowing that He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him.
We ask all these things in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
