Let's bring your concerns before the Lord, trusting in His healing power and sovereignty. First, we want to remind you of God's promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." God is indeed a healer, and His word assures us that He cares for our every need.
However, we want to encourage you to fix your eyes not just on physical healing but also on spiritual wholeness. As it says in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers." God's ultimate desire is for us to be spiritually well, which can also positively affect our physical well-being.
Let's address the tendency for negative thoughts. In 2 Corinthians 10:5, it says, "Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." This means that we have the power, through Christ, to control our thoughts and not let them control us. Rebuke those negative thoughts in the name of Jesus, and replace them with God's promises.
We also notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. We want to remind you that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As the Apostle Peter preached: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” Acts 4:12.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, they have been battling negative thoughts about their health, and we ask that You replace those thoughts with Your peace and the knowledge that You are the Great Physician. Heal them of any disease, in Jesus' name, and help them to fix their eyes on You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. Help them to remember that Your name is a strong tower, and the righteous run into it and are safe. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and mercy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Trust in God's love for you, and keep your mind stayed on Him. He is faithful to complete the good work He began in you.
