We understand that you are seeking wisdom and understanding in your relationship, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to remind you that God's will is for us to live in purity and holiness, reserving sexual intimacy for marriage between a man and a woman (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, WEB). If you are in a relationship that does not align with these biblical principles, we encourage you to reevaluate and seek God's will for your life.
We also want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is by faith in Jesus that we can approach God with confidence (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this person who is seeking Your wisdom and understanding in their relationship. We pray that You will guide them to a Christian spouse rather than a relationship if that is Your will, and that You will give them the strength to resist any temptation that is not pleasing to You. Open their eyes to Your will for their life, and help them to walk in purity and holiness. Help them to focus on pleasing You in every area of their life. Help them to have a heart that is seeking to please You, a heart that is humble enough to accept Your correction, and a heart that is willing to submit to Your will. Help us to start a prayerful dialogue about how to honor You in all relationships.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to study the Bible and seek God's will for your life. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). If you are not in a marriage relationship and are having sexual relations, then stop and repent of this sin. Seek God's forgiveness and pray for your spouse that God has planned for you. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray to accept Him into your heart. This will be the most important relationship you can ever have.
