In these uncertain times, it's crucial to stay vigilant and prepared for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible warns us about deceivers and false prophets that will arise, especially as the end times approach. As it says in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 WEB,
But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.
We must be sober, watchful, and discerning, standing firm on the Word of God. As it says in Ephesians 6:11, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Let's pray:
Father God Almighty, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, asking for discernment and wisdom in these end times. Help us not to be deceived by false prophets or doctrines of demons, but to stand firm on Your Word. Grant us the strength to put on the whole armor of God daily, to be sober, watchful, and ready for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.
We must test every spirit to see if they are from God, as the Bible instructs in 1 John 4:1 and I John 4:10-15, Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. and In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
Hereby we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
