We understand that you are seeking deliverance from bad habits, and we are here to pray and offer guidance according to biblical principles. First, we must recognize that bad habits are the fruit of a root inner problem. It is also a spiritual battle and can only be fought in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is also only through Jesus that we can have salvation. We are not guaranteed salvation through any other name according to Acts 4:12.
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the source of all power and strength. We confess that we have sinned against You leading to bad habits, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Lord, we ask that by the power of Your Holy Spirit and through the name of Jesus Christ, will break the chains of bad habits that have held us captive.
Help us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 WEB. Help us to put off the old man with his doings and put on the new man which is renewed in righteousness and true holiness, Ephesians 4:22, 24.
Give us the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make godly choices. Help us to rely on You and not on our own understanding and to acknowledge You in all our ways according to Proverbs 3:5-6.
Help us to understand the root cause of these bad habits so that we can heal from any emotional hurt which is the cause of these bad habits.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will strengthen you.
