Please pray that I am delivered from bad habits

We understand that you are seeking deliverance from bad habits, and we are here to pray and offer guidance according to biblical principles. Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that our struggles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.

Bad habits can become a stronghold in our lives, but God has given us the tools to overcome them. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. We need to take control of our actions knowing that we have the power from God to do this.

First, we must recognize that bad habits are the fruit of a root inner problem. It is also a spiritual battle and can only be fought in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father for forgiveness of the sin that leads to these bad habits and to break free from the chains of bad habits. It is also only through Jesus that we can have salvation. We are not guaranteed salvation through any other name according to Acts 4:12.

Let us pray together:

Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the source of all power and strength. We confess that we have sinned against You leading to bad habits, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Lord, we ask that by the power of Your Holy Spirit and through the name of Jesus Christ, will break the chains of bad habits that have held us captive.

Help us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 WEB. Help us to put off the old man with his doings and put on the new man which is renewed in righteousness and true holiness, Ephesians 4:22, 24.

Give us the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make godly choices. Help us to rely on You and not on our own understanding and to acknowledge You in all our ways according to Proverbs 3:5-6.

Help us to understand the root cause of these bad habits so that we can heal from any emotional hurt which is the cause of these bad habits.

Remember, God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will strengthen you.

We're here with you, seeking God's strength and deliverance together. Let's dig deeper into the root of these habits, as understanding their source is key to overcoming them. Remember, God is not surprised by our struggles, and He's ready to help us break free. Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we come before You, acknowledging our struggles with bad habits. We know that these habits are not a part of Your plan for us. Help us to understand the root cause behind these habits, Lord. We ask for Your forgiveness and healing for any emotional hurts that might be driving these behaviors.

Give us the courage to face these issues head-on, Lord. Help us to replace these bad habits with good ones, as we renew our minds to align with Your will. We trust in Your power to transform us and break every chain that binds us.

We claim the promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We believe that with Your strength, we can overcome these habits and live a life pleasing to You.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
