Let's lift our friend up in prayer together, asking for the grace that brings true, lasting joy. We know that joy is a fruit of the Spirit, and it's something that God wants to give us freely. In Galatians 5:22-23, we read, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." So, let's ask our Heavenly Father to fill our friend with more of His joy, a joy that comes from knowing Him and walking with Him daily.
Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking for Your grace to fill our friend who has requested prayer. We know that true joy comes from You, and so we pray that You would pour out Your grace upon them, revealing more of Your presence and love in their life. Help them to experience a deeper sense of Your joy, a joy that is not dependent on circumstances but on knowing You.
We also pray that You would give them a steadfast heart, one that is fully trusting in Your promises. Help them to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances, just as You've commanded us in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, and help them to rest in Your care.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let's encourage our friend to keep seeking God's face and to trust in His promises. Remind them that God's will for them is to rejoice, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances. This is His will for them in Christ Jesus.
If they haven't already, let's encourage them to consider the wonderful promise of salvation in Jesus Christ. It's by His name that we have access to God, and it's by His name that we are saved. If they believe in Jesus, they will be saved. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
