In times of need, it's essential to come before God with a humble heart, seeking His grace and mercy. We're reminded in Hebrews 4:16, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
First we appreciate that this request is made to God but notice that Jesus is not mentioned. Let us remember to pray in Jesus's name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your grace and mercy for our brother/sister in Christ. We ask that You pour out Your grace upon them, strengthening them in their time of need. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for all their needs.
Lord, we also ask for the power to live our lives for you. so that we can boldly approach your throne of grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God's grace is sufficient for all your needs. As it says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me." Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
