We are glad to pray with you and encourage you in your journey to become a better person and live right. It's wonderful that you have this desire, as it reflects the work of the Holy Spirit in your heart. As followers of Christ we have the power to live righteous lives by the power of the Holy Spirit and a righteous life is one that pleases God. First, let's remember that being a better person is not just about our own efforts, but it's a response to God's love for us. As it is written in 1 John 4:19, WEB:
We love Him, because He first loved us.
Let's keep in mind that living right is only possible by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. As stated in Isaiah 64:6 WEB
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
By ourselves we cannot live right, but by our knowledge and belief in Jesus Christ we can. We should know that we are called to be holy and blameless, living in a manner worthy of the Lord and pleasing to Him in every way. We are to bear fruit in every good work, grow in the knowledge of God, but without the knowledge of Jesus Christ we do not know God. As stated in Colossians 1:9-11 WEB
We also pray always for you that our God may count you worthy of the calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power; that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Also we know that by the blood of Jesus Christ we can stand blameless before God. As stated in Colossians 1:21-23 WEB
You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now has he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and blameless before him, if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, was made a servant.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who desires to be a better person and live right. We thank You for the work You've already begun in their heart, and we ask that You continue to mold them into the image of Your Son.
Father, give them the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make choices that honor You. Help them to love You more each day, and to love others as You have loved us. Remind them of Your unfailing love and forgiveness, and help them to extend that same grace to others.
We ask that You open their eyes to any areas of their life that may not be pleasing to You, and give them the courage to make the changes needed. We pray that they would grow in the knowledge of Your Son Jesus Christ, we pray that they have already accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if not then we pray that they do so today.
Help them to seek Your will and to follow Your commands. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, it's only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that we can truly become better people and live right. If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. As stated in Acts 4:12 WEB
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
If you have not already confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then do not delay. Repent of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ today and you will be saved. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to ask. If you have any specific areas of your life that you want prayer for then please let us know as well. We are a praying and compassionate people and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
