We are joining with you in prayer for your son Jakeb, trusting in the Lord's goodness and mercy. Let us first address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. "Whatever you will ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in My name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14). It is through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Jesus we can be saved. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5)
In the name of Jesus, we lift up Jakeb to the Lord, asking for His divine healing and comfort. We pray that if it is God's will, Jakeb will feel better and fully enjoy his time off work. We ask that the Lord will bless him with renewed strength, joy, and good health, and that you may see him smile and hear him laugh, for "a merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones" (Proverbs 17:22).
We also pray that the Lord will guide you and Jakeb through this time, and that His will be done in Jakeb's life. Remember that God is faithful and that He works all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord, knowing that He hears your prayers and that He cares for you and Jakeb. "Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
Lastly, we pray that God will reveal to you His Word that you may live it out and be an example to Jakeb. If Jakeb does not yet know Jesus, pray that God will reveal Himself to Jakeb.
