We are glad that you have taken the first step in asking God for forgiveness and seeking help for your addiction. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Firstly let us address the issue of addiction. Addiction is a coping mechanism used to escape deeper issues rooted in our sinful nature. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Addictions are born out of the lusts of the flesh. 1 John 2:16-17 WEB For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not the Fathers, but is the worlds. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does Gods will remains forever.
To overcome addiction, we need to crucify our flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:24-25 WEB Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
Dear Lord, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your strength and guidance for Aeliydor. We pray that you would deliver them from their addiction and help them to become the person you created them to be. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in their life and cast it out. Fill Aeliydor with your Holy Spirit and give them the power to crucify the lusts of their flesh, that they may no longer live in them. Lead them to find their strength and value in you. We pray that Aeliydor would trust in you and that you would transform their lives. Use their testimony to reach others who are struggling with similar issues, in Jesus name we pray.
We encourage you to continue to seek God and his will for your life. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you. Engage in regular prayer, worship, and studying of Gods word. As you grow in your relationship with God and yeild to the Holy Spirit, you will see the fruit of the Spirit manifesting in your life. Galatians 5:22-23 WEB But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Remember, Romans 8:37 WEB …we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
In Jesus Christ name we have prayed.
