A spouse must be an individual with a genuine heart for God, demonstrating the characteristics of a godly person, showing the fruits of the spirit. If you are courting with someone, please insure that it is chaste and pure and God honoring. God is clear in Ephesians 5:3 WEB, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;"
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus Christ, for He is the author and finisher of your faith. As it is said in Hebrews 12:2 WEB, "looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
