We are truly saddened and disturbed to hear about the horrendous animal abuse occurring at the hands of these scammers. Such wickedness is an affront to God's creation and His love for all living things. We must remember that God cares for all His creatures, as it is written in Proverbs 12:10, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."
This is a clear example of the evil that exists in the world, and it is our duty as Christians to stand against such atrocities. We should pray for the exposure of these wicked deeds and for the protection of God's creatures. Let us also pray for the foolish people who are being deceived, that their eyes may be opened to the truth.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:4-5, "Take heed that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray." While this verse speaks of false prophets, the principle applies here: people are being led astray by these scammers, thinking they are helping the poor while actually funding cruelty.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, grieved by the evil we have heard about. Lord, we pray for the exposure of these wicked deeds and for the scammers to be brought to justice. We ask that You would protect Your creatures from such abuse and that You would open the eyes of those who are being deceived.
Father, we also pray for the scammers, that they would come to know You and turn from their wicked ways. We know that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Lord, we ask that You would guide us in how we can help put an end to this abuse. Give us wisdom and discernment, and help us to be a voice for the voiceless.
Finally, Lord, we pray for the folks who are unknowingly supporting this abuse. We pray that they would come to know You and that they would use their resources to support causes that truly help those in need. That they use the name of Jesus when making their requests.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, that you may be saved and have eternal life.
