Let's first remember the words of Ephesians 6:4, "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." and Colossians 3:21, "Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they won’t be discouraged." While it's important to teach children responsibility and diligence, we must do so with patience, love, and gentle instruction, as guided by the Scriptures, since it is easy to provoke children to anger and discouragement.
Let's pray for Tee and Ollie.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Tee and Ollie. Father, we ask that You would help them to grow in maturity, responsibility, and diligence. We pray that You would give them hearts that are eager to help and serve others, rather than grumbling or complaining and being lazy.
Lord, we also pray for the one(s) raising them. , Give them wisdom and patience as they guide and teach these children. Help them to model the kind of behavior they wish to see in Tee and Ollie, remembering Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Help them instruct and teach them as Ephesians 6:4 says.
Father, we ask that Your will be done in the lives of Tee and Ollie. Help them to grow into responsible, God-fearing young men who are eager to serve You and others.
We also remember the words of Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Father, help Tee and Ollie to develop good habits and a strong work ethic now, so that they may become Godly men that follow you.
If there is any bitterness or resentment, we pray for forgiveness and reconciliation, remembering Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Finally, Lord, we pray for the salvation of Tee and Ollie, that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they do not, since as Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
Remember, it's crucial to teach children in a way that honors the Lord and His Word. Always strive to be patient, loving, and gentle, modeling the behavior you wish to see in them.
