Thank you Horotekan, for reaching out and sharing these concerns with us. We appreciate your faith in God's goodness and your desire to seek His will in your life and relationships.
Firstly, we would like to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that our prayers are made powerful and effective.
Regarding your relationship with Rico, we encourage you to seek God's will and ensure that this relationship aligns with biblical principles. As it was stated in second Corinthians 6:14 WEB: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" It is written, 7:1-3 WEB: Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman. But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband, and so on. We do not see a reference here to marriage and would encourage you to only consider a relationship with the intention of marriage to a Believer in Christ. We encourage you to pray for wisdom and discernment, and to seek God's will in this relationship.
It is also written Colossians 3:8 WEB: "But now you also put away all these: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth." We encourage you to not call names and but to discuss rather than argue. It is commendable that you have forgiven Rico and are praying for him to seek forgiveness as well. Remember the words of Ephesians 4:32 WEB: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Continuredly pray for him that God’s forgiveness in Jesus name. If your relationship with Rico is to be blessed by God, it is important that both of you are committed to living according to His word.
Regarding your concerns about your daughter, we encourage you to continue praying for her and to trust in God's ability to transform her heart. As it was written in Proverbs 22:6 WEB: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Continue to set a godly example for her and to teach her the ways of the Lord. Pray for her salvation and that she may come to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior because, "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Change does not always happen overnight, it would be wise to consider a change for counseling, but God promises in Isaiah 55:10-11 WEB: the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will my word be that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do. As well as John 17:17 WEB: Sanctify them in your truth: your word is truth. Remember to pray for her in Jesus' name, that she may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding and continue steadfastly, for God will finish the work He started as well as many other of God's promises.
Lastly, regarding your desire for a job, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and provision. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." As His promises to be with His people to the end of time and never abandon nor forsake us. Continue we pray to seek His will for your life and to be patient as you wait for His provision. If you do mot have a church family we encourage you to find one so they can lift you up in prayer as well.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Monique, Rico, and her daughter. Lord, we pray for Your will to be done in their lives and for Your guidance and wisdom to be upon them.
Lord, we pray for Monique's relationship with Rico, that You would make it clear to them if it is Your will for them to be together for their future and to be husband and wife. It is written, the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him in Genesis 2:18 WEB. We pray for Rico, that You would help him to overcome his anger and to seek Your forgiveness. We pray that You would transform his heart and mind, and that You would draw him closer to You.
Father, we also pray for Monique's daughter, that You would soften her heart and bring her to a place of repentance. We pray that You would help her to see the error of her ways and that You would give her a desire to live according to Your word. We pray that You would protect her and guide her in the way that she should go. If she does not know Jesus Christ and is not a child of Yours we pray for her salvation.
Lord we pray You would shower Monique with Your favor and open up the right job opportunities for her. We pray that You would give her patience and perseverance as she waits for Your provision.
In all these things, Lord, we pray that Monique would trust in You and that she would seek Your will for her life and walk in Your ways of truth. We ask all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus our Christ.
Amen.
