We appreciate your humble heart seeking forgiveness. It's wonderful that you acknowledged your need for forgiveness and approached the Heavenly Father in Jesus' name. It's important to understand that our sins separate us from God, but He is faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins and repent. As it is written in WEB 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear soul who has asked for Your forgiveness. We know that Your mercy is new every morning, and Your grace is sufficient for us. We pray that You will grant this person the gift of true repentance and a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You will help them to turn away from their sins and to walk in newness of life.
Give them the power of the Holy Spirit to resist future temptation.
Help them to walk with You so they can enjoy the fullness of a restored relationship.
Help them, too, when they feel weak so they may not be lead into temptation or sin.
As the person prayed in Jesus Christ's name, we acknowledge that it is only by His name that we have access to God. Let us declare the basic salvation message: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." You encourage us to accept the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins on the cross. Sometimes it hard to admit our struggles, but once we do and repent with a true heart, then we can experience peace, joy, and forgiveness in Jesus. When we have repented in Jesus' name then we can find the way, the truth, and the life that leads to You.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God's love for you is unfailing and His forgiveness is complete. Remember WEB Ephesians 1: Immediately all of us should give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to God and the Father of glory. The Father of glory had us and took us from sin and delivered us; for He redeemed our inheritance and we can live for the praise of His glory.
