Zekhethelo, we are here to stand with you in prayer and to help guide you according to biblical principles. We take your dream seriously, and we believe that God is sovereign over all things, including our dreams. However, dreams are not necessarily prophetic, but can be used by God. What is written in Ecclesiastes. "For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds"(Eccle 33:14).
First, we want to encourage you as said in Philippians, "'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"'(Phil 4:6-7). Many of the disciples faced dire and dangerous situations, but they trusted in God's protection and provision.
With that in mind, we pray for you:
Father, we thank you for the scripture that often reminds us that you are our refuge and protection.
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. They say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers; under his wings you will take refuge. " His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. This is stated clearly in any translation as can be seen in Psalm 91 (Psa 91:1-4).
We ask Father that you provide comfort and peace of mind and body to Zekhethelo. We ask too Father for your protection on Zekhethelo. If the dream indicates Father a prayer request on Zekhethelo's part needed for safety, protection, and comfort. Then we ask Father that you protect Zekhethelo from any situation that arises, no weapon that is formed against them shall prosper. We know too Father that you will work out all things for those who love and trust you. The dream could have been caused by so many things including late night food or stress. But as with all things and all prayer requests, we need to bring these things to you Father as early as possible.
We ask for all these things in Jesus' name. It is in Jesus that we have access to you Father and it is in Jesus' name we can be saved.
"If you will diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you." (Exo 15:26).
Lastly, the dream should be considered by you as a reminder and a signal to review your relationship with Jesus, or to start one if that is the case also. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, the Father. We can be saved no other way, except through Jesus. "But what does it say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;' that is, the word of faith which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.' (Rom 10:8-11). Many christian believers accept Jesus, as recognized in his words in the Gospel of John, "'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.'"(John 3:16-17). Those interested in growing their relationship in Jesus may be consider baptism as the next step. Yet others, may be with an interest in Jesus for the first time, but not yet confessing Jesus as Lord. By Jesus' words in the book of John, "'He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned'" (Mar 16:16). So in coming to Jesus or growing in Jesus' believe, baptism should be reviewed as a next step or a first step. Again, believing in Jesus is first. Where is your heart before the Lord? Where do you need to make things right with God and man? Is Jesus your Lord? With prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit may you be led into access to God, Jesus, and salvation, by believing in Jesus as Lord. Jesus has conquered death and so will you too one day.
