We understand that you're facing a challenging situation, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the most difficult times. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."
We also want to address the topic of your husband's incarceration. While we pray for his swift return, we also pray that he seeks God's will and repents from any wrongdoing. As it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Regarding your financial situation, remember that God is your provider. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? "Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We also note that you didn't mention praying in Jesus' name. It's important to remember that it's through Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'".
Now, let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus to lift up our sister and her family. We pray for strength and peace to fill their hearts during this challenging time. We ask, Lord, that you be with her husband while he is incarcerated. You are a god of forgiveness and mercy and we pray that God's will would prevail and that the laws of men would be affected by your will and mercy. If it is your will, your words say that you set the captives free, therefore we ask that this happens, but we also pray that you bring repentance to him.
You can use everything for good to those who love you, so we pray for the means to help everywhere needed.
We also pray for a financial breakthrough for our sister. Help is never late. We ask for an abundance of resources to bless her and provide for her children.
Lord, we know that you can do all things, and you are the God of miracles. We claim your promises and blessings over this family and thank you for the great things you are about to do.
Thank you, Father. We pray this In Jesus name. We also want to thank you for believing that God can do all things. Keep holding on to that faith.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your hope in Jesus. As it says in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Now, we want to address Christmas and its purpose, read Matthew 1:18-23 WEB, "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this; for after his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly. But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, 'Joseph, son of David, don't be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She shall give birth to a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.' Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, 'Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel'; which is, being interpreted, 'God with us.' " In other words, Christmas is really about our celebration of Jesus, IJN.
