We rejoice with you, ###, for coming with a humble heart and a worthy request before our Lord Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name, for it is only by His name that we can approach God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." and in John 14:13-14 WEB "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." We are thankful that you "enter by the narrow gate." "For the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! There are few who find it."
In response to your request, we encourage you to take comfort in the knowledge that God is more than willing to give you the desire to read His Word. In fact, it is His heart's desire for you to know Him more through the Bible, according to 1 Peter 2:2 WEB "Desire the sincere milk of the Word, that you may grow by it,". "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."
As you turn to Him for grace to help with any sins distracting you or anything that might be hindering you from the Bible, rest assured, and rely upon the knowledge "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our Brother/Sister in Christ, ###. We thank You for putting the desire in their heart to read Your Word more. Lord, we ask that You would continue to give to ### the new birth and growth in the Word of God English Bible. By Your Spirit, give ### a hunger and a thirst for righteousness to live the way You want and a willingness to know You more according to Your promise "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." We rebuke any spirit of distraction or a lack of desire to seek God. In the name of Jesus Christ, we ask for more of a desire as it is said in Matthew 5:6 WEB. According to 2 Corinthians 3:8 WEB "will not the ministration of the spirit be rather in glory?" Help them to see the glory of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live in His freedom. Help them to really desire to please God and to love Him. In the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
