We join you, Anonymous, in your heartfelt prayer to our Heavenly Father, seeking forgiveness and deliverance from evil influences, specifically from music that does not glorify God. We appreciate your prayer being named in Jesus Christ, as our Lord Jesus re?iterated that we must pray to the Father, In Jesus Christ name.
Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the power of music and its influence on your spirit. As the WEB translation of Ephesians 5 reminds us "Become wise, therefore, not be foolish, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
It is essential to fill our minds and spirits with things that honor God and one avenue being wholey uplifting praise music. We must be cautious about the music we listen to, as it can affect our thoughts, emotions, and ultimately our actions. As it is written in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
To be delivered from evil, as our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray, we must first submit ourselves to God. As it is written in James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We must turn away from evil influences and seek God's face and righteousness.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and deliverance for our brother/sister Anonymous. Lord, help them to turn away from any music or influence that does not glorify You. Fill their heart and mind with Your truth, purity, and loveliness. Strengthen their spirit to resist the devil and his schemes, and give them the wisdom to discern what is pleasing to You. Help them cultivate the habit of listening to wholesome music, full of praise, worship, and honor to You. And to avoid all appearance of evil as mentioned In 1 Thessalonians 5:22.
Surround them with Your hedge of protection, and guide them in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake. This we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
