We join you, Anonymous, in your earnest petition to our Heavenly Father, as we are instructed in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." It is wonderful that you have come to seek cleansing and purity in the name of Jesus. Our sin separates us from him, therefore, confessing and repenting our sins reconciles us to him. Therefore, a prayer acknowledging our sin is a true prayer. It is God's will that we refrain from evil practices and influences, which can be heard in dark music. Music with evil messages brings impurity and darkness into our hearts. Instead of hearing and remembering their titles, replace it with Christ centered lyrics which can bring us closer to his word.
As it is written in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." May your mind be renewed by the Holy Spirit, and let it be filled with the knowledge of God's word and his praises. Your request to not remember the titles of evil music reflects your heart's desire to honor God.
Let us pray together:
Almighty Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in prayer. Lord, cleanse them from all impurities, and let shuremind and heart be purified by the blood of Jesus. Give them the grace to forget the titles of evil music and let their memory be filled with your holy word. Strengthen their resolve to walk in your light and shun darkness. Guide them in your righteous path, giving them wisdom and a renewed mind. As they draw near to you, O Lord, may you draw near to them, comforting and encouraging them in their walk with you. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Anonymous there is no other name that we can be saved. Continue to call to him in his name Jesus. Moreover, continue to asking in his name. For example when you end a prayer "in Jesus' name" your prayer is submitted to the father from his son Jesus. That is to say, a prayer "in Jesus' name" is really asking the Father to recognize you as though you are his own son. This is acceptable for you because he loves you and ultimately you as a Christian will become the bride of Christ his only son.
Continue your walk cleansed as we are told in 1 John 1:7, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin."
