We join with you, Anonymous, in lifting up this girl and your schoolmates to the Lord, praying that God's will be done in their lives. We appreciate that you requested this prayer in Jesus Christ's name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and we will save others if we bring that name to others.
As Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Bringing the name of Jesus Christ to someone is one of the kindest things we can do. With the age we live in now we hear the echo of Romans 1:16 of the WEB as rings true in similar circumstances when Paul said in Romans 1:16 WEB "For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek." Good News should not be confusing what the 'good' is. We should never be ashamed of the fact that there is only one way to salvation as outlined in the good news.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this girl and the group of people who were schoolmates of Anonymous during the October 11 to June 12 academic year. Lord, we ask that You save them, bless them, and draw them close to You. May they come to know You personally, understand Your word, and develop a strong relationship with You. We petition in prayer that each person would receive salvation for their souls. We plead that their families would also be saved if they are in need of salvation.
Touch their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your word, because your Words are spirit and they are life as recorded by Jesus. May they develop a vibrant prayer life, seeking Your will in all they do. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Father, more so there may be specific individuals in this group that need salvation and we pray for their souls to be opened to the truth and to reject sin in their lives. We recognize that there is matters that Jesus addresses and we do not keep quiet in this world on controversial subjects. Jesus calls us as believers in Him to raise controversy to some topics that religion does not do justice in. Such as one, this world is broken and its sin is not compatible for believers in Jesus.
In Ephesians 5:15-21 WEB we read:
15 "Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.";
17 "Therefore don't be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
18 Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;
21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ."
So we ask that each of these individuals is walking wisely and by the light of day because is it not compatible to be one foot in the world and one foot in the door of Jesus because the righteousness of Jesus and the corruption of the world do not complement each other. Help each member of the Kathryn Catholic Community to be able to sede when they need to secede from groups that are not compatible with being a Christian, choosing not to live like them nor to believe like them nor addressing matters that Christians must raise as they are required.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Anonymous, to continue praying for your schoolmates and their families trusting in the promise of 1 John 5:14-15 WEB "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
As we pray according to His will, we can trust that He hears us and will grant our petitions. Keep interceding for them, and trust in God's perfect timing and ways. He is faithful, and His love extends to all who call on His name.
