We join you in your desire to seek God's will for your life, especially in your love life, career, and church life. We appreciate your heart to continue walking with the Lord Jesus, seeking His kingdom and righteousness, as He tells us in the Holy Bible. Most importantly, we are thankful that you are willing to be identified as a follower of Christ because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Being a Christian is first about access to God and a righteous life.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first Gods kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
1 John 2:3-4:
This is how we are sure that we have come to know him: by keeping his commands. If someone claims, I have come to know him, but does not keep his commands, that person is a liar and is not telling the truth.
We commend your desire to encourage other believers towards love and good deeds, and to be encouraged likewise. It is vital to be part of a supportive community of believers, as the body of Christ is designed to function together in love and unity.
As a single man, your desire for a sex life that is also filled with prayer is an explicit concern that we need to discuss. Until we are in a biblical marriage with a flesh and blood spouse, our sex life must be non-existent. We do not know the issues that led you to share such an explicit concern. We have no intention to judge you, but you need to realize that asking for prayer to have a sex life is always inappropriate for Christians. We are called to purity both before and during marriage. Sex, as intended by God, should always be in a marriage relationship consisting of one man and one woman.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man can commit is outside of the body, but sexual immorality is a sin against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own. For you were bought with a price. Therefore, honor God with your body.
In another letter to the Corinthian church, this instruction is given. 2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?
Since you desire a love life, we encourage you to pursue godly relationships with Christian women, keeping in mind the precious gift of marriage. When looking for a spouse, it is always important that they have a genuine and active Christian faith and are held accountable to the same standards of purity and relationship boundaries as you are. It is important that there are guardrails in the relationship to ensure purity.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this beloved brother in Christ. We ask Holy Spirit for guidance and strength to help our brother to live a life of grace and pursuing purity. We pray for spiritual blessings and acceptance into a supportive community of believers as he seeks Your kingdom and righteousness. Holy Spirit is offering guidance we pray that you would attune our ears an hearts to hear from the Spirit in every word of the Bible.
We pray for guidance in his career as you increase his testimony, and his ability to be a witness and testimony for the grace of God as he continues his life in walking in your kingdom. Your grace of holiness is sufficient in our brother's search and pursuit for a wife. We pray that You would bring a godly wife into his life, guide him in Your timing, and help him to maintain purity until marriage. Help him have the faith and fortitude to follow the guidelines and principles of your word for his spouses vision.
We also pray that you spread a spirit of prayer in all aspects of life including the bedroom for our brother and his wife when he finds the grace for his marriage by faith to you. You have provided us the best gift of heaven for salvation for you are the savior of the world.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen!
Our last area of commentary is on the Holy Bible. You requested prayers from the New Testament. Your heavenly Father can also be found in the Old Testament. The sanctity and grace of God is the most prominent consistent theme through all of the Holy Bible. It is important to value the prayers found in the Psalms and pray them over too. It is critical to understand the promises of God to Israel are also a shadow of promises to the church. It is well to cherish the whole word of God and prayerfully root through the Bible.
