Please pray I do not lose my job, my car, my license, or my children. Please pray for protection over my children and myself. Please pray for us a forever home and a forever Church. Please pray I make 40 hours this week.

Praying in Jesus Name. Amen.
Anonymous, we are here with you in spirit. All of us should be asking we do not lose our job, car, and license too. We must work unto God and pray for God to bless our provisions. While we do so, we note that Paul the Apostle was rejoicing that he was even in chains doing God's will. "Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus," Philemon 1:1 (WEB). Do not worry the world system will take everything away from your life while you are apart from God just as they did to Job. But faith in Christ will overcome and provide a household and children that are greater than the imaginations or expectations of anyone. We serve a very real and very alive God above all principalities and rulers of our world, Ephesians 6:12.
So, let’s pray that you can be blessed in full-time 40-hour employment, that needs to happen. We can all be confused about prayers for a forever home and Church. Surely, these are nice; they are absolutely not what a Christian should pray for instead of the goodness of God because of seeking first the kingdom of God, these things might be added, Matthew 6:33. To pray for them to God is idolatry while we await the New Jerusalem and our complete redemption. What is our Prayer.
Prayer Dear Jesus, please bless this member of the faithful and provider for their household. May everything they need be provided with the assurances God has for His children. Therefore, all of us humbly submit through the assurances of scripture, "Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:31. May Jesus be praised from whom all blessings flow, and may Your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven.
But there needs to be a warning from God too, not just receiving blessings. One cannot pray to be blessed or receive from God while ignoring sharing the knowledge of God, and even implicitly claiming to be exempt from the provision of preaching the word of God oneself. Receiving calls for our giving too, and this is the time eternal plan of God's will and God's glory. The solution is simple: step up, do not be passive, and go hear a weekly sermon for your blessing next week, then go home. Instead, get hands-on, learn to preach the gospel yourself rather than only take from God and claim this is not an issue for you.
