We appreciate your heart's desire to be right with God and your recognition of the power in the name of Jesus Christ. It's crucial to understand that God forgives our sins when we come to Him with a repentant heart, confessing our known sins, and trusting in Jesus Christ for salvation. Unknown sins are covered by the blood of Jesus when we walk in the light of God's word (1 John 1:7 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, thank you for your unfailing love and mercy. We come before you and seek understanding of your word and faith in Jesus Christ. Anonymous asks for forgiveness and desires redemption. The Bible says if we confess our sins, then you are faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness We are in Jesus Christ's name.
Let's read 1 John 1:7-10 (WEB) and return thanks for forgiveness:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
The first step is to acknowledge our sinful nature and confess our known sins to God. Let us encourage you to spend time in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal any known sins in your life. As you confess them to God, trust that He forgives you and cleanses you from all unrighteousness.
Remember, it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to God and salvation. So believe in Jesus Christ in all things and acknowledge him in all things.
Now say, "For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God" Ephesians 2:8 WEB
We believe that God has heard your prayer and that you are forgiven. Continue to walk in the light of God's word, and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross for your salvation. In Jesus' name.
