We are truly sorry to hear about the distress and loneliness you're experiencing tonight, Seteleuo. Firstly, we want to assure you that you are not alone, and we are here to pray and offer guidance based on biblical principles.
It is commendable you told us to pray In Jesus Name. Being a Christian means believing in the lord Jesus Christ. Having faith in Jesus, the son of God, and what he accomplished on the cross is the only was to attain salvation. We hope you have believed in Jesus and accepted his sacrifice for your sins personally or that you will soon.
The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). In your feelings of depression and loneliness, know that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
Regarding your feelings of boredom and loneliness, remember that God's joy and peace can fill your heart, even in difficult circumstances. As it is written in Philippians 4:11-13 (WEB), "Not that I speak according to need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Concerning your mention of "Manny," we want to remind you of our belief in God's marriage and relatinonships. We encourage you to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles. Remember that God's will is for you to be in a lifelong commitment with another Christian Believer. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up Seteleuo to You tonight. We pray that You will comfort them in their feelings of depression and loneliness. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them deeply.
We ask You for peace and contentment, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. We trust Your promise that You will supply their needs, according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask for this wisdom and provision in their life as well.
We also pray for godly relationships in Seteleuo's life, and encourage them to seek a spouse only above all things (1 Corinthians 7). We pray that You will guide them and give them the strength to follow Your will for their life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
For your financial troubles, we understand your hardship, but trust Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. While money is important to survive, it is also a stumbling block for Christians. Strongly consider 1 Timothy 6:6-10. Furthermore, James 2:5 does not say God chooses the rich of this world. This verse makes it clear that God purposefully chooses those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him.
You are not the first Christian to have financial issues. Consider the Apostle Paul, many people felt sorry for him suffering and in prison, but not Paul himself. Don't let your depression or situation rob you of the joy of salvation. You have the same treasures that Paul had. Consider the joy of having our sins forgiven. Paul even suffered the thirty nine lashes multiple times and was even left for dead. God is faithful!
