Let us come before the Lord with a mind to understand God's view on Christmas and relationships, for this is our guide to pray effectively. In the course of time, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a city of Galilee. The angel came to her and said, Hail, you virgin, who are highly favored! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women! and the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and give birth to a son, and will call his name 'Jesus.' He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom.
If God's Kingdom never ends, why would we as believers honor Christmas, which focuses on honoring this day, whereas without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christmas has no meaning. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. We are to be looking forward to His second coming and remember Him always in our lives. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.
Now mindful of this understanding about the focus we put on Christmas and our Lord's second coming, we come to you Lord in Jesus' name, praying that Anonymous will provide for his children this holiday season. Lord, supply your servant all his needs for his children in the name of Jesus. But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.
Anonymous, we also pray for your husband and for your marriage. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, instituted by God, and we encourage you to remain steadfast in your vows with love and respect. As believers, we are called to model our marriages after the relationship between Christ and the church. Both spouses are to submit their will to the Lord and to each other. The true marriage relationship is one in which each partner seeks to outdo the other in doing good to their spouse.
Please pray together as a couple, reflecting on Gods expectations for husbands and wives:
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord; because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. As believers, we need to have faith and remain steadfast in times of difficulties. For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ is the head and savior of the church, which is his body.
Beware, Anonymous, this warning about praying together in Jesus' name. You do not explicitly pray in Jesus' name. Is this a mistake or have you not accepted Jesus as your lord and savior. Is Jesus the center of your faith. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4.12 Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me. it is only in Jesu's name that we can be saved. Let us pray for a closer walk with God, in Jesus' name. Trust in the Lord Jesus with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Anonymous pray to the Lord Jesus Christ that He will draw you nearer and nearer each day to Him. Let Jesus be the center of your prayer life.
Anonymous, we must be careful not to have close fellowship with non-believers. Your friend could be a real encouragement if they have faith in Christ. Let us all come before the Lord in Jesus' name, praying that your friend and his family will be in good health. Also Anonymous pray for your friend's estate?that is, that they may be saved and prosper in all things and be in health, just as their soul prospers.
Pray for us as well that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds; That I may reveal it as I ought to speak. God be with the spirit of all of you. Grace be with you. Amen.
