We rejoice with you, ###, as you have come to the foot of the cross in Jesus Christ name seeking forgiveness. This is the first step in reconciling with God, as it is written in First John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come boldly to Your throne of grace. Thank You for Your unending mercy and love. We lift up ###, who has humbly confessed their sins and sought Your forgiveness. We pray that You will cleanse them from all unrighteousness. We ask that You fill any void left from their sins with Your love, and help them win the victory over any future temptations. Help them to apply the words of Second Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Give ### faith so they can believe in Jesus even more. Give them courage so they can live in righteousness before God and others.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
