We understand that you're seeking prayer for the forgiveness of sins and purity from anger. Firstly, we want to remind you that forgiveness of sins comes through faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by placing our trust in Him that we can really believe in God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. It is wonderful to be pure from anger, but it is important to know Jesus as your savior from sin. Believing that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and that He rose from the dead three days later is the basis of being saved from your sins and is your ticket to eternal life. It is only through Jesus we can be saved and receive the forgiveness of sin. There is no other name, religion, or way to be saved or have the forgiveness of sins.
As 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB states For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times.
The WEB also has several verses telling us how to handle anger. Ecclesiastes 7:9 WEB says, Don't be quick in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the heart of fools. And Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB tells us, Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil.
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your forgiveness for any sins committed, known or unknown. We ask that through believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will allow eternal life. We pray for strength and self-control to overcome anger, and that any roots of bitterness or unforgiveness be removed. We claim Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB to be a means to conquer anger, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Help to be slow to anger and quick to listen and forgive as You do towards all of us in through Jesus Christ.
For those who do not know Jesus Christ yet, may they have believing faith to start the process of really knowing Jesus Christ. We want all to know Jesus as their forgiver of sin and the Savior of their soul. It is only through knowing Jesus Christ that we have access to God and can be saved and forgiven. Again, may we be reminded it is only through Jesus Christ this is done, no one else, no other religion, and no other way to God.
