We understand that you are seeking forgiveness and deliverance from evil music. We commend you for turning to Jesus Christ for help, as it is only through His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is wonderful that you ended your prayer with "In Jesus Christ name. Amen." As it is only by His name we are saved.

Firstly, it is important to address the impact of music on our spiritual lives. Music a needs to glorify God be uplifting, purely romantic between a husband and a wife, thankful, or worshipful. Evil music often contains lyrics that are contrary to God's word, promoting violence, immorality, or other ungodly themes. The true Christian should not listen to evil music as it corrupting to their soul. It can also be introduced into our lives through ungodly relationships, which can lead us away from the path of righteousness. As it is written in **1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB**, "Don't be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'"

To be delivered from the influence of evil music, we encourage you to take the following steps:

1. **Repentance**: You have already taken the first step by asking for forgiveness. Continue to pray, asking God to cleanse your heart and mind. The word **repent** means to "turn" from. So, **repent** means to stop listening to evil music and to start listening to more uplifting music, hymns, or songs with loving romantic themes between a husband and a wife. Be selective in your music choices and focus on the fruits of the Spirit. Be careful of corrupting situations as it is written in **1 Timothy 6:11 WEB**: But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after **righteousness**, **godliness**, faith, love, **patience**, and **gentleness**.

2. **Renew your mind**: Replace the evil music with wholesome alternatives that honor God. Fill your mind with Scripture and godly thoughts. Preprogrammed radios, cd changers people giving us music to listen to without listening first, computer programs can preprogram music in the background of our lives without our full attention. We need to actively select our music all the time and avoid passively accepting what others choose or program for us to listen. As it is written in **Romans 12:2 WEB**, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."

3. **Seek Godly companionship**: Surround yourself with fellow believers and encouragers more than worldly influences. People that also care about feeding their soul with good things and not corrupting this world. Be mindful of who is kissing you on the cheek (2 Samuel 20:9. Sheba didn't notice the person who approached him to kiss him and it was the captain of the army and defender of the 10 Tribes of Israel. They could have interacted before this incident and had some association, but not following the scriptures will bite you like a serpent on the cheek. As believers God gives us an advantage by looking to him to protect us as well as freewill to listen only to good music, doctrine, and people. Avoid those who promote, listen to or share with you evil music. If friends, family, faith organization, work, or other sometimes want to corrupt our morals it is important to be mindful and exercise careful consideration. As it is written in **Hebrews 10:25 WEB**, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."

Let us pray for you:

**Heavenly Father**, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need of deliverance from evil music. Lord, we thank You for the conviction in their heart that has led them to seek Your forgiveness. We pray that You would cleanse their heart and mind, and help them to **repent** from listening to this evil music and fill our minds with the fruits of the Spirit. Guide them to godly companionship and wholesome music that honors You and them. Give them discernment to prevent such influences from all sources including evil music ever entering our lives again. Give them energy to be aware of influences in music and to stay words to fight back against evil music in the future if this ever threatens their heart and soul. Strengthen their faith and help them to remain steadfast in their walk with You. May this just be a blip in their life. For we know evils are aligned against us. May your **mercy** and **grace** carry them thru this evil music temptation and affliction. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to remain strong in your faith. Do not be strong passively. Be obedient to Jesus no matter what the world is offering. Remember, God is faithful, and He will help you overcome this struggle. God is our guardian and shield. Stay strong with our Lord protecting your heart and soul. Even if predators acting like co-workers, acquaintances, close family, friends, teachers, fake Christians, health care providers, or others want to corrupt our morals, encourage us to sin, make money off of us, put us in a wrong environment, kill our testimony, our Lord still loves us and will never leave or forsake us.

It might take some effort to find, but it's worth it. And remember, it's not just about the music you listen to, but also the people you spend time with. Surround yourself with positive influences who encourage your faith, not drag you down.

Lastly, let's pray for you right now. Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our friend who's struggling with evil music. Thank you for the conviction they feel, leading them to seek your forgiveness. Cleanse their heart and mind, Lord. Help them to turn away from this evil music and fill their minds with your truth. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
