Thank you, Shabrim, for reaching out and sharing your feelings with us. We appreciate that you've asked for prayer in Jesus' name. It's important to remember that God hears our prayers when we approach Him in Jesus' name, as He said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB)
Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue to keep your feelings pure and focused on the Lord. It's natural to have feelings of attraction, but it's essential to channel them in a way that honors God. Remember, "Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." (Proverbs 4:23 WEB)
We commend you for seeking a relationship that could potentially lead to marriage. However, we want to remind you that God's design for relationships is for a man and a woman to come together in holy matrimony. We are praying for you.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord, we lift up Shabrim to You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for the feelings of affection that You've given her, and we ask that You would guide her through this situation. Help her to discern Your will for this relationship and to trust in Your timing. Give her the strength to keep her thoughts pure and focused on You. If Manny is the one You have for her, we pray that You would make it clear to both of them and that You would bless their friendship as they seek to honor You together. If not, we ask that You would help a godly man to find Shabrim and Manny to find a godly girl who loves God, so they can pursue courtship as a Christian man and a Christian girl as You intend for it in Your word with the goal of marriage.
We ask that You would give Shabrim peace and contentment in You, knowing that You have a perfect plan for her life. Help her to trust in You and to rest in Your promises.
We pray too that you convict Shabrim and Manny of any thoughts that do not honor you. We ask for pure thoughts and a pure heart. If they do things that do not please You, we ask for a spirit of conviction and a heart of humility and repentance for each of them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to seek God's will for your life.
