We join you, dear one, in your heartfelt plea to our Heavenly Father, seeking forgiveness for a past action. It is wonderful that you have turned to God, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your mercy and forgiveness. We thank You for the promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Our brother/sister has come to You with a repentant heart, and we ask that You grant them the peace and assurance of Your forgiveness. Help them to walk in Your ways, to live a life pleasing to You, and to experience the joy of Your presence. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, dear one, that once you have confessed and turned away from your sin, God remembers it no more (Hebrews 8:12, WEB). Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB), and strive to live a life that honors Him. If there are any restitutions to be made or amends that can be done, seek God's guidance in doing so.
Lastly, continue to walk in the light, as God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5, WEB). This will ensure that you stay in fellowship with Him and with His people. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
