We understand your heart's cry, dear friend, and we come before the Lord with you to seek His mercy and guidance. Firstly, let's remember that when we come to God, it should be in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, for it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let's address your concerns together in prayer:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who feels their life has been randomly destroyed. Lord, You promise in Joel 2:25 (WEB) that You will restore the years that the locust has eaten. We claim this promise for our dear friend. Wash away the pain of the past, Lord, and help them to walk in newness of life, as promised in Romans 6:4 (WEB).
Father, we also bring their family's housing needs before You. We ask that You guide them to a new home in Massachusetts, according to Your will. We trust that You have a place prepared for them, a place where they can prosper and be in health, even as their soul prospers (3 John 1:2, WEB).
However, we gently rebuke the idea that the past can simply be ignored. The past should be learned from and redeemed, not just forgotten. God uses all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB). We encourage you, dear friend, to face your past with God's help, seeking forgiveness where necessary, and allowing His healing power to transform those experiences into testimonies of His goodness.
Lastly, we pray that you would grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to accept Him as your Lord and Savior, to walk in His ways, and to live a life pleasing to Him.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
Stay strong in the Lord, dear friend, and remember that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
