Shabrim, we hear the longing and confusion in your heart, and we want to lift you up in prayer and share some biblical guidance with you.
First, we want to assure you that God cares about your feelings and desires. The Bible tells us, "Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). However, we must also align our desires with God's will.
Regarding relationships, the Bible encourages us to seek godly spouses and to conduct relationships in a way that honors God. It's important to note that the Bible discourages sexual immorality and encourages us to flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If you're feeling a strong emotional connection, it's important to ensure that it's built on a foundation of friendship and shared faith, and that it leads toward a God-honoring commitment like marriage.
We also want to address your feelings of confusion and depression. The Bible gives us hope: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). God has a plan and a purpose for you, and He wants to give you peace and hope.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus’ name to lift up Shabrim. Lord, she feels a strong connection to Manny and desires a relationship with him. We ask for Your will to be done in this situation. If it is Your plan, please open the door for their relationship to grow in a way that honors You. Help Shabrim to find her peace and hope in You, and to trust Your timing and Your plan. Comfort her heart, Lord, and guide her steps. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Shabrim, to seek God first and to trust His plan for your life. Spend time in prayer and in the Word, and allow God to guide your feelings and your steps. If you haven't already, consider talking to a pastor or a trusted Christian mentor about these feelings. They can provide further guidance and support.
