We understand the concern for Brian Phe and Ting Poh Yew as they seek guidance in their journey to transition away from a vegan lifestyle and embrace a balanced diet that includes meat. It's important to honor our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB): "Or donβt you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godβs."
We also address the concern about their involvement with Yiguandao, which combines beliefs from different religions and worships entities contrary to the Christian faith. The Bible warns us against such practices in Galatians 5:20-21 (WEB): "idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God."
Let us pray for Brian Phe and Ting Poh Yew:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Brian Phe and Ting Poh Yew. Lord, we ask for Your guidance as they transition to a diet that honors their bodies, which are Your temples. Heal Brian Phe from his mental illness and deliver them both from any guilt associated with their previous lifestyle. We also pray that they will be completely freed from the influence of Yiguandao. Give them the strength and clarity to cut all ties with this group and to fully embrace their Christian faith. Fill them with Your love and guide them every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage Brian Phe and Ting Poh Yew to trust in the Lord and His promises, as stated in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB): "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donβt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also remind them that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB): "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
