Shabrim, we understand your frustration and hurt in this situation. Let's bring this before the Lord together and seek His guidance.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God calls us to be generous and giving, but with wisdom. Proverbs 11:24-25 (WEB) says, "There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but it leads to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat. Whoever waters shall be watered also himself."
However, it's also important to set boundaries and to communicate openly. Jesus said in Matthew 18:15 (WEB), "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother." While this applies to sin, the principle of open communication and resolution can be applied here.
In this case, it seems there's a lack of consideration and communication from Jessica's side. It's not wrong to expect gratitude or at least acknowledgment when you've shown kindness. It's important to express your feelings to her calmly and clearly.
Let's pray about this:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up Shabrim and their friendship with Jessica. Lord, we ask that You would soften Jessica's heart and help her to see the value of Shabrim's generosity and friendship. We also pray for Shabrim, that You would give them wisdom in how to approach this situation, and the words to express their feelings in a way that is honoring to You. Help them to set healthy boundaries and to communicate openly. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you, Shabrim, to keep your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can have true peace and resolution. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Keep trusting in Him, and He will guide you through this.
