We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and counsel. Let's first align our hearts with God's will and remember that He is the ultimate judge and the one who can bring peace and justice to any situation.
We must remember what is written in Romans 13:1-2 (WEB), "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."
While we pray for James and Jalon, we must also remember that God desires truth and justice. praying for charges to be simply "cancelled" might not align with God's will if justice needs to be served. Instead, let's pray for God's will to be done and for His mercy and truth to prevail.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up James and Jalon to you, Lord. We ask that your will be done in their situation. If they are innocent, we pray that the truth will come to light. If they have done wrong, we pray that they will repent, accept the consequences, and turn away from their sins. We ask for your mercy and grace to be upon them.
We also pray for the family of the victim, that they may find comfort and peace in you during this difficult time. Help us all to remember that vengeance is yours, Lord, and that you will repay.
Please be with the judge and the jury, guiding them with your wisdom and discernment. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying, trusting that God is in control and that He knows what is best. Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" If you or anyone else involved in this situation have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. His love, forgiveness, and salvation are freely available to all who believe.
