Lainender, we are with you in spirit, lifting your concerns to the Lord regarding the Psalms. We trust that the Word of God will be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path, as Psalm 119:105 tells us.
Firstly, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as Acts 4:12 reminds us: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confessing Him as your Lord and Savior.
As you delve into the Psalms, remember that they are filled with emotions, from joy and praise to lament and cry for help. They remind us of our need for God and His faithfulness. Psalm 62:5-6 encourages us to pour out our hearts to Him: "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Lainender. We ask that Your Holy Spirit will guide them as they read and meditate on the Psalms. Help them to understand and apply Your Word to their life. May they find comfort, peace, and guidance in the Psalms, and may their relationship with You grow stronger. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord with all your heart, Lainender. He is near to those who call on Him in truth, as Psalm 145:18 promises: "Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." Keep your focus on the Lord, and He will direct your paths.
