We hear your heart's cry on your special day and want you to know that you are not alone. Firstly, we want to wish you a happy birthday, but more importantly, we want to lift you up in prayer and remind you of God's steadfast love for you.
Let's pray: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our dear friend who is feeling depressed and drained on their birthday. Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your joy and peace, and remind them of their worth in Your sight. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
It's understandable to feel down, even on days that are meant to be celebratory. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (WEB), "We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed." Even in our lowest moments, God is with us, and He promises never to forsake us.
We want to encourage you to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to invite Jesus Christ into your life. He said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). It is only through Him that we find true peace and hope.
Remember, this feeling of gloom does not define you or your future. Trust in God, and He will see you through this difficult time. If you need someone to talk to, we are here to listen and guide you according to God's Word.
Lastly, we want to leave you with a verse of encouragement: "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Hold on to this promise, and let it be a source of comfort and hope for you.
