We are thankful that you have reached out for prayer and support, and we are here to stand with you in Jesus' name. It is commendable that you have taken the first step towards a life free from drugs and alcohol, and we trust that God will help you continue on this path.
Firstly, we want to address the concern that you feel you have grown distant from God. Remember, God is always with you, even in times when you feel distant. As it is written in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you." Even when we stray, God is waiting for us to return to Him, as the parable of the prodigal son illustrates in Luke 15:11-32.
Regarding your concern about the drug screening, we want to remind you that God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. As it is said in Isaiah 43:19 ESV, "Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Trust that God, who has provided this opportunity, will also make a way for you to overcome this obstacle.
However, we must also remind you that God calls us to live in honesty and integrity. As it is written in Proverbs 10:9 WEB, "He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out." We encourage you to be honest about your past and trust that God will guide the hearts of those in authority.
We also noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother in Christ who is seeking Your guidance and mercy. Lord, we thank You for providing him with this new opportunity and we ask that You make a way for him to overcome the challenge of the drug screening. Help him to trust in You and to be honest in his dealings, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for him.
We also pray that You will draw him closer to You, Lord. Help him to feel Your presence and to know that You are always with him. Help him to live out the words in the book of James to draw close to You and that You will draw close to him. Help him to resist the devil and the devil will flee from him.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord and keep trusting in Him. God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has started in you. If you have any sins that you need to repent of, be sure to repent of them so that nothing comes in between you and God. Remember, a Christian is not just someone who says they believe but they live out their beliefs and are truly repentant of their sins. If you have not yet truly repented of your sins and trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior make sure to do so without delay.
