We understand that you are struggling with a sin that has become a stronghold in your life, and we commend you for your desire to overcome it. First, let's address the issue of where our help comes from. You asked for forgiveness from Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, but it's important to understand that while God is three-in-one God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit they are all and each God. They are not separate. It's only by the name of Jesus that we can be forgiven (saved) and approach God.
It is also only by the name of Jesus that we can overcome and defeat sin. If you are feeling trapped and that you want to be forgiven then you should seek the forgiveness of Jesus and ask for his help so that you may be saved and to turn away from your sin. Jesus did not come to save the righteous but sinners. While you were yet a sinner Christ died for your sins. You are a sinner and need the saving work of Jesus in your life beyond just your request for help with pornography. Let's pray for your forgiveness and salvation as well. As the WEB Bobbles says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9. Let's pray also that the blood of Jesus would cover you so that this sin will be forgiven and defeated.
Pornography is a sin with serious consequences for our spiritual, emotional, and relational well-being. It is improtant to recognize that this sin is not only against God but also ourselves and others made in the image of God. Colossians 3:5 WEB says, "Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." And 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a person does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we lift up Vasio to you in the name of Jesus. We confess that they have been struggling with the sin of pornography and cannot free themselves in their own strength. We plead the blood of Jesus over Vasio's life, that they may be forgiven and cleansed. We pray for the saving power of Jesus to redeem Vasio as they confess that Jesus is savior and turn away from their sin. Father, we ask that you would fill Vasio with your Holy Spirit and that you would give Vasio the gifts needed to overcome this sin. Your word says that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth and for the demons to be subject to us. We command any demonic stronghold controlling the sins of lust, and pornography break in the name of Jesus and to flee from Vasio.
Father, give Vasio strength to flee from this sin. Help them to throw off the works of darkness and put on the Armor of Jesus Christ, the Armor of Light. Give Vasio right thoughts to replace the impure thoughts. Help Vasio to have a deep understanding to recognize the value of others made in the image of God and be submitted to loving them as you want Vasio to love them and not using them for their own lustful pleasure. Father, grow their relationship to you so that their desire to seek this sin weakens and that they will be strengthened.
We pray for godly accountability in Vasio's life to fight this temptation alongside with fellow Christians. We pray for Vasio's heart to be freed from the guilt of this addiction, washed by the precious blood of Jesus, and walking in newness of life with Jesus as their Lord. Rebuke Vasio from trying to overcome this sin by Vasio's own strength and we pray that Vasio will repent and by God's grace wholeheartedly seek Jesus' salvation and righteousness. Warn Vasio to do their part and upon seeing the temptation turn away in Jesus' name.
Father, guide Vasio's steps and lead them to be dependent on the Holy Spirit's help for overcoming this stronghold. Heal Vasio's brokenness and restore their purity in the name of Jesus. Give Vasio a heart that truly loves you and others. We ask this in the precious name of our savior, Jesus Christ. Amen."
We encourage you to engage with the Word of God. Begin and maintain a steadfast prayer discipline where you seek Jesus and cry out for his help with this forgiveness. In James 4:7 WEB it says, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Instituting steadfast disciplines of scripture reading, prayer, fasting, worship, fellowship, and service will help with overcoming this sin by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We also advise you to seek godly accountability relationships with fellow Christians. Christian friends and delicate professional Christian counselors can help give Vasio the support to maintain your purity. We will continue praying for you and we advise you to avoid places, people, and things that lead to this sin. Immerse your life with the things of God where there is peace, love, and comfort.
