We understand that you are struggling with gambling, Inilthuk, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. First and foremost, we want to remind you that God is always willing to help you in your time of need. As it is written in the World English Bible (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).
However, we must address that gambling is not aligned with biblical principles. It can lead to financial ruin, harm relationships, and cause a lack of trust in God's provision. The Bible tells us, "He who loves silver isn't satisfied with silver, nor he who loves abundance with increase. This is also vanity" (Ecclesiastes 5:10). Gambling often stems from a love of money and a desire to gain wealth quickly, which is not a godly pursuit.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up Inilthuk, who is struggling with gambling. Lord, we know that this is not your will for their life, and we ask that you would help them to overcome this temptation. Give them the strength to resist the urge to gamble and replace it with a desire to seek you and your kingdom first. Help them to trust in your provision and to be content with what you have given them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Inilthuk, to seek God's will in all things. Remember, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). As you draw near to God, he will draw near to you (James 4:8), and with his help, you can overcome this struggle.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As the Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for it is only through him that we can be saved. "Because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10).
