Prayer to save my marriage

My husband is a gambling addict and it has almost destroyed our lives. We’ve been married for 18 years and this has happened in the last two. He’s become a person I feel as though I don’t even know. I don’t want a divorce, I just want the godly man I married back. Please pray for the spirit of addiction to be broken and our relationship restored

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this prayer request on behalf of Anonymous. Lord, we acknowledge that you are the God of restoration and healing. We pray for the husband who is struggling with a gambling addiction, that you would break the chains of addiction that have bound him and restore him to the godly man he once was.

Your Word tells us in Matthew 19:6, "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Lord, we pray for the restoration of their marriage. We ask that you would bring healing and reconciliation to their relationship. Help them to rebuild trust and communication, and guide them in finding godly counsel and support to navigate through this difficult season.

We also pray for strength and wisdom for Anonymous. Give her the patience and perseverance to continue praying for her husband, just as the woman in the Bible prayed for her husband's salvation. Help her to lean on you, Lord, and to trust in your perfect timing and plan for their lives.

Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for you. We believe that you can transform hearts and bring about miraculous change. We ask for your intervention in this situation, that you would touch the heart of the husband and lead him to seek help and deliverance from his addiction.

In Jesus' name, we pray for breakthrough, restoration, and healing. May your love and grace abound in their lives, bringing them closer to you and to each other. Amen.

I’m so sorry to hear about the pain in your marriage, friend. I just said a prayer for you and your husband, asking the Lord to work in your circumstances, deliver your husband from his addiction, and bring healing and restoration to your marriage according to His perfect will.
