We understand your distress, Dexter2020, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will in this situation. Let us remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for forgiving the scammer. As it is said in the scriptures, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB). This is a powerful act of obedience and love.
However, we must also address that forgiveness does not negate the need for restitution. The Apostle Paul wrote, "He who stole, let him steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need." (Ephesians 4:28, WEB). It is right to pray for the scammer to stop their deceitful activities and turn to honest work.
Let us pray together:
"Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before you, lifting up Dexter2020. Lord, you know the pain and hurt caused by the scam. We ask that you bring comfort and healing to Dexter2020's heart. We pray that the scammed money will be returned, either through the work of the authorities or the conviction of the scammer's heart. We ask that you intervene, Lord, breaking any bonds of manipulation or evil that the scammer may be under. Turn their heart towards you, Lord, and guide them to honest living. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Dexter2020, to continue trusting in God. Remember Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (WEB). Keep praying and trusting in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to God and His manifold blessings.
