We understand your desire to be surrounded by positivity and to remove negative influences from your life. Let's bring your request before the Lord in prayer and seek His will according to His word.
Firstly, it's crucial to understand that as believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to be lights in this world, which means we are to influence others positively and not isolate ourselves from those who may not be good for us. We are warned in Scripture, do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good habits" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). However, instead of merely asking for their removal, we should also be praying for their salvation and that God would use us as a testimony of His love and grace.
Jesus said, For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10 WEB, Luke 5:32 WEB, Matthew 18:11 WEB).
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your guidance and protection in this situation. We pray that You would surround this child of Yours with Godly influences and remove any negative impacts that may hinder their walk with You. We understand that Your will is for us to be lights in this world, and so we ask that You would use this situation to draw those who may not be good for us to Yourself, just as you saved us.
Lord, we ask for discernment and wisdom to navigate this situation. We pray that You would give the strength to stand firm against any negative influences and that You would replace any bad spirits with Your Holy Spirit. We also ask for forgiveness because we too have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation.
Father, we ask for Your protection and that You would bless this home with Your peace and presence. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment we condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray that Your will be done in this situation and that ultimately, it would bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Therefore, let's put on the whole armor of God and stand firm against the wiles of the devil.
Lastly, let's not forget the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It's only by His name that we have access to God the Father and it's only by His name that we can be saved Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved' (Romans 10:13 WEB, Acts 2:21 WEB, Joel 2:32 WEB). If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and witness the power of His name in your life. If you are already a believer, continue to trust in Him and His promises. God bless you.
