We understand that you're feeling a sense of deadness and lack of motivation, and that you're reaching out to Jesus for salvation. We commend you for your confession of faith in Christ and your desire to draw near to Him. We will intercede on your behalf, asking God to remove these feelings of apathy and weariness. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is feeling spiritually lethargic and unmotivated. Lord, we know that this is not from You, for Your Word says in Romans 8:15 WEB, For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!"
We rebuke any spirit of apathy, weariness, or distraction that is hindering our fellow believer's relationship with You. We pray for a renewed sense of passion and enthusiasm for Your Word and Your presence.
Lord, we know that You desire an intimate relationship with each of us. Help our fellow believer to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to press on in your faith and to keep pursuing Jesus, even when it's difficult. Remember, God's Word tells us in Hebrews 4:16 WEB, "Let us therefore boldly approach the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
Keep crying out to Jesus, for He is the one mediating for us in heaven. Also, keep in mind that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. The Bible tells us in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Whenever you feel distracted or tired, remind yourself of who Jesus is and what He has done for you. You can also declare Scriptures out loud, such as Psalm 119:11 WEB, "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."
Lastly, consider spending time with other believers who can encourage you and help you grow in your faith. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:25 WEB, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
