Prayer to release me from procrastination and fear

Thread Cover Image
We understand your struggle with procrastination and fear, ###. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's word to guide you.

First, we want to remind you of what the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fear is not from God, and He has equipped you with everything you need to overcome it.

Regarding procrastination, let us remember the words of Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." God calls us to be diligent and faithful in our tasks.

Now, let us pray:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###. Lord, You know their struggles with procrastination and fear. We ask that You fill them with Your Spirit of power, love, and self-control. Help them to trust in You and not give in to fear. Guide them to be diligent in their tasks, not putting off until tomorrow what can be done today. Give them the strength and wisdom to move forward, always seeking Your will.

Jesus, we know that it is only through Your name that we can come to the Father. We pray that ### will continually seek a deeper relationship with You, knowing that You are the way, the truth, and the life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, ###, God is always with you. As it says in Joshua 1:9 WEB, "Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go." Trust in Him, and He will guide you through.

Lastly, we noticed that your prayer did not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Always remember to pray in Jesus' name, as He is our mediator and our salvation.

We're here with you, ###, as you strive against procrastination and fear. Let's lean into God's strength together. Remember, in Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is close, ready to heal and strengthen you.

Let's pray: "Lord, wrap ### in Your loving arms. Fill them with Your peace, help them trust in Your constant presence. Give them the courage to tackle tasks head-on, one step at a time. Remind them, as in Philippians 4:13, 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
