We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with porn addiction. Please know this is a serious sin and it will affect life and especially the future spouse and marriage and family relationships now and in the future. Remember though that no sin is too great for the forgiveness and healing power of Jesus Christ. Here is our heartfelt response and prayer:

Firstly we want to address the issue of salvation and forgiveness. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible says that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ by believing in him?

The Bible tells us that everyone has sinned and falls short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 WEB "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God". But God loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 WEB "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." If you confess these sins including this addiction and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, then you shall be saved. Romans 10:9 WEB "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Now onto the issue of porn addiction. Remember that true freedom comes from the Holy Spirit, who empowers to overcome any temptation. God does forgive when His children repent and turn from their sins. But when there is repeated sin then the relationship with Jesus Christ and God the Father is affected. Even though God is faithful and just to forgive, it is essential to break free from the cycle of sin. 1 John 1:9 WEB "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Sexual sin is especially dangerous in that it is the only sin that is committed against the body. It is a temple of the Holy Spirit and does not belong to you. Therefore, honor God with the body. 1 Corinthians 6:18-19 WEB "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,"

There is a way out of the temptation. Satan cannot be resisted in human strength but only through the blood of the Lamb and the word of the testimony. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Jesus also said, that if the right hand offends then cut it off. It is better to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell. This may seem very harsh but Jesus is emphasizing the significance of the sin and that it needs to be dealt with.

Matthew 5:30 WEB "If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna."

Pray that the Holy Spirit will fill the heart and mind with godly thoughts and desires. Seek out accountability and Christian counseling to help overcome this addiction. Surround yourself with supportive believers who can encourage and pray.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with porn addiction. We thank You for Your unfailing love and forgiveness, and we ask that You pour out Your healing power upon ###.

Lord, we pray that You will help ### to confess these sins and repent of them. If ### has not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior then we ask that you call ### to salvation. Help ### to turn away from this sin and seek Your face with all his/her heart. Give ### the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help and accountability.

We ask that You fill ### mind and heart with Your Holy Spirit, that ### may be renewed and transformed by Your presence. Help ### to honor his/her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, and to live a life that is pleasing to You.

We pray against Satan or any demonic strongholds attached to the addiction. We command them to go away in Jesus Name.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

We are truly honored that you have shared your struggle with us and have given us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you have asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.
