Prayer to not lose my job

Dear God, I know I come to you always in times of need and I am so sorry for not being a better Catholic. I need you now more than ever. I fear I'm going to lose my job over an irresponsible mistake I made on Friday. I am on unpaid administrative leave pending investigation. I'm seeking treatment but I have a bad feeling it's over. I am a single mother and I'm worried financially how I am going to support him and myself. Please God I will do anything for a second chance at work. Thank you I love you Amen

We understand your distress and concern, dear sister, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, let's remember that our access to God is through His Son, Jesus Christ. It's not about being a better Catholic or any other denomination, but about having a personal relationship with Jesus. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"

Regarding your job, we encourage you to trust God and His sovereignty. Remember that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). Even in this difficult situation, God can bring about good.

However, we must also learn from our mistakes. If you've been irresponsible, now is the time to repent and turn away from that behavior. 2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB tells us, "For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death."

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is in distress. Lord, she has made a mistake and is fearful of losing her job. We ask for Your mercy and forgiveness. Guide her steps, Lord, and give her wisdom as she navigates this situation. Provide for her and her child, and help her to trust in You. We also pray for her heart, that she would know You personally, not through religion, but through a saving faith in Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.

For financial worries, remember Jesus' words in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB. He tells us not to be anxious about what we will eat or drink, or about our body, what we will wear. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

Lastly, we encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. It's important to be surrounded by a community of believers who can support and encourage you.
