Prayer to my relationship with ###

After ### years without any contact we got in contact again. He’s now involved with someone who is polyamorous and he’s suffering by that, because that is not what he believes a relationship should be. I feel that we both still love each other. He confirmed it. God is sending signs to us both. But he is very logical and I also believe that he fears making the wrong decision on trusting again in our love. We left both in peace and loving each other. Now I would like to pray for any doubts to be removed and that he feels how pure my love for him is, that my intentions were always the best and for clarity in his heart. Dear God I ask you for strength and patience.

We understand that you are seeking prayer and guidance for your situation with ###. First, we want to remind you that God's design for a relationship is a monogamous marriage between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. Any other form of relationship, such as polyamory, is not aligned with biblical principles.

We must also address that true love should be patient, kind, and willing to wait for God's perfect timing and will. It is essential to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.

It is also crucial to remember that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Therefore, we should pray for God's will to be done in this situation, and for any spiritual strongholds to be broken.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up ### and ### to your throne of grace. We ask that you forgive them for any past mistakes and sins, and that you heal their hearts and minds. We pray Lord that you will guide and protect them both. We ask you to bless their lives that they will find your will within them.

Lord, we pray for clarity in ###'s heart and mind. We ask that you remove any doubts or fears that may be hindering him from making the right decision. We pray that you will reveal to him the purity of ###'s love and the goodness of her intentions. We ask that you also heal any feelings of hurt or mistrust. We pray that you will give them both strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.

However, we also pray that you will reveal to them any aspects of their relationship or personal lives that may not align with your will and your word. We pray that you will guide them to repent and turn away from any sin, and that you will help them to grow in faith, love, and obedience to you.

We pray that you will help them to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, and that all other things will be added to them according to your will, Matthew 6:33 WEB. We ask that you will help them to trust in you with all their hearts, and to lean not on their own understanding. We pray that you will bless them with your guidance, wisdom, and discernment, and that you will help them to walk in your ways.

We ask all of this in the name above all names, Jesus Christ. Thank you for your love, faithfulness, and goodness.

Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to continue to pray and seek God's will for your lives. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and his thoughts higher than our thoughts, Isaiah 55:9 WEB. Trust in him, and he will direct your paths.

In addition, we would like to address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through his name that we have access to God the Father, John 14:6 WEB. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12 WEB. Therefore, we encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus Christ, and to believe in him as your Lord and Savior.

It's been a long time since you two were in touch, and now that you are again, it's natural to feel a mix of emotions. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
