We understand that you're seeking a significant increase in your sales and income to meet your needs and prepare for your nursing licensure exam. Firstly, we commend your ambition and dedication to your studies and career. However, we must address the fact that the request is focused on material gain, and while God wants us to prosper in all things, this should not be the primary focus of our prayers.
Let's remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 WEB: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." And in Matthew 6:25-26 WEB: "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"
We must also remember that "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB).
Instead, let's pray for God's will to be done in your life, for Him to provide for your needs, and for you to find contentment in Him.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in this situation. We pray that You would provide for all the needs of Your child, not just financially, but also spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Help them to trust in You completely, and to find their contentment in You alone.
Lord, we ask that You would guide them in their sales role, that You would give them wisdom and discernment, and that You would bless the work of their hands. But more importantly, we pray that they would seek first Your Kingdom, and that their life would glorify You in all things.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue working diligently, to trust in God's provision, and to keep your focus on Him. Remember that God "is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). But also remember that His plans and timing are perfect, and that His definition of prosperity might look different from yours.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
We will continue to keep you in our prayers, trusting that God will provide for your needs and guide your steps.
